A key component of this project is the development of the ePool dashboard. This will provide a tool to display an Indoor Swimming Pool (ISP) facility’s real-time operational status, considering elements of pool health, projected emissions, and human health risks, through the incorporation of wireless sensors and energy usage data from the facility. A beta version of the dashboard will be developed for a facility within the City of Kelowna, using the MIT app inventor platform. All municipalities involved in the project will be able to access the results of the dashboard, which will be available through both a browser and mobile application. This will be the first development of a tool of this kind in Canada, providing a novel means of holistically monitoring the elements of an ISPs operation from the perspectives of water, energy, and human health.
